3. 'Secret' new shelter stirs controversy in NW Philly: The tale involves a high-profile developer, an organization devoted to helping abused women, a handful of deeply committed community members, a City Councilwoman, $3 million in taxpayer money, and a little-known section of the zoning code.

4. 'Philly Jesus' goes national: Ex-addict Michael Grant's arrest in LOVE Park is generating a lot of chatter.

5. Shipwreck remains are found at Jersey Shore:  State archaeologists will seek to determine whether a pile of timbers and a wooden, barrel-shaped windlass uncovered as workers tried to pound a steel beam into the sand - breaking the pile-driving equipment twice - are pieces of the 19th-century ship Ayreshire.
