1. Green out at SRC: Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf has removed School Reform Commission Chairman Bill Green from his position, days after Green voted to approve new charter schools in Philadelphia.
2. Icy roads: Roads and sidewalks are slick in the Philadelphia region this morning, prompting many school districts to open late.
3. Black Madam trial: Padge Victoria Windslowe, who calls herself the Black Madam, is set to continue being cross-examined today at her murder trial over an unlicensed buttocks injection that turned fatal for an exotic dancer.
4. Principals honored: Three Philadelphia School District principals, and other principals from around the nation, will be meeting with Education Secretary Arne Duncan as part of a new program for innovative school leaders called "Principals at ED."
5. Republicans in the region: Republicans in Montgomery County are gearing up for the 2015 election season, while the GOP is facing a stark decline in numbers.
