#PhillyFive Developing Stories: Feb. 12, 2015

Your early look at the day's developing stories.

Here's your look at five stories we're following today:

1. Powerball winners: Tickets sold in North Carolina, Puerto Rico and Texas hit the $564.1 million jackpot in Wednesday's Powerball drawing, while three tickets from Pennsylvania and New Jersey won prizes of $1 million or $2 million. The locations that sold the lucky tickets should be known later today.

2. Christie's travel: New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, a potential 2016 presidential candidate, is set to appear in multiple states over the coming weeks, hitting up the Republican Party's Lincoln Day circuit. He'll start today at an Illinois event, as other Republicans weighing presidential bids are also making the Lincoln Day-dinner rounds.

3. Shale tax: Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf has unveiled a plan for a 5 percent tax on natural gas drilling that he says would generate $1 billion for public schools.

4. Lights on Lit: Washington Square residents aren't happy about rooftop LED advertising at the Lit Brothers Department STore on Market Street, saying the dazzling lights disrupt their scenic views.

5. Liberty State Park: New Jersey Assembly Speaker Vincent Prieto is expected to introduce a bill that would keep Liberty State Park under state control, a week after Gov. Christie signed a bill that formed a new commission to approve development plans at the park.
