Here's your look at five stories we're following today:
1. Cathedral's Christmas prep: The Cathedral Basilica of SS. Peter and Paul, the largest Catholic church in Pennsylvania, is preparing to host more than 3,000 worshippers at Masses this week. Christmas Eve and Christmas Day are the busiest days of the year at the cathedral.
2. No white Christmas: In Philadelphia, there's no chance of a white Christmas this year. It'll be a rainy Christmas Eve, with some showers continuing through Christmas morning.
3. Rampage suspect's death: A coroner has determined that Bradley Stone, accused of killing his ex-wife and five of her family members in a shooting rampage in Montgomery County last week, committed suicide by overdosing on drugs. Officials have also released more details about the grisly slayings.
4. "The Interview" screenings: Sony has reversed course, and select theaters will now screen Seth Rogen's North Korea-focused farce "The Interview" on Christmas.
5. Holiday travel: Those driving to visit family and friends for the holidays will be treated to the lowest December gas prices since 2009, with fuel costing less than $2 a gallon at some stations, including a handful in New Jersey. Meanwhile, Philadelphia-area travelers taking public transit this week should be mindful of adjusted schedules on SEPTA, PATCO and New Jersey Transit and potential delays at the airport due to weather conditions.
