Here's your daily look at five stories we're following:

1. Carjacking suspects: Police are questioning two "persons of interest" in connection to Friday's carjacking and crash that left three children dead in North Philadelphia. The children's mother was critically wounded when the carjacked vehicle rammed into their fruit stand.

2. Ridley Twp. murder-suicide attempt: A woman remains hospitalized after her boyfriend shot and killed their 5-year-old son, shot and seriously wounded her, then turned the gun on himself. The wounded Shyema Washington does not yet know her son has died.

3. Deptford woman's potato chip: A Lay's potato chip flavor conjured up by Deptford resident Meneko Spigner McBeth is in the running for a $1 million prize. Online voting begins today to decide which of four finalists, including McBeth's Kettle Cooked Wasabi Ginger, will find a place on store shelves. McBeth and Lay's will also be at an event today at the Deptford Mall to promote the chip and contest.

4. Conflict in Gaza: A rocket launch and jet strikes have brought an end to a relative lull in Gaza, disrupting a nearly 12-hour halt in the fighting between Israel and Hamas.

5. Comcast's giving: Comcast Corp. donates millions to philanthropic causes, but also gives significant sums to groups backed by power figures who hold sway over the company's business plans, including Comcast's proposed merger with Time Warner Cable.
