Here's your look at five stories we're following today:

1. Pa. budget battles: Wrangling over Pennsylvania's budget is continuing, though action from Gov. Tom Corbett is expected today. The governor has scheduled a news conference for this morning. Significant debate has centered on a proposed $2-per-pack tax on cigarettes to raise money for Philadelphia schools, and Superintendent William Hite says layoffs will be necessary if an agreement about the tax isn't reached by Aug. 15.

2. Police-involved shootings: A City Hall forum about the federal review of officer-involved shootings by the Philadelphia Police Department will take place tonight.

3. Holtec tax break: New Jersey's Economic Development Authority is scheduled to vote on a $260 million tax break for Holtec International. The tax incentive, spread out over 10 years, is an effort to get the energy firm to bring some of its operations and jobs to Camden.

4. Wolf fundraisers: Two Philadelphia fundraisers are set for tonight to raise money for York businessman Tom Wolf, the Democratic candidate for governor.

5. Mansion fire: Investigators are set to return to the scene today of a fire that badly damaged a Main Line mansion to determine how the blaze started.
