Here's your daily look at five stories to know about:

1. Casino hearing: The applicants for Philadelphia's second casino license will make their final pitches to the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board today. Each bidder will have 15 minutes to make its last arguments. The board will then begin its deliberations, but it's not known whether or when it will award the license.

2. Perzel, DeWeese getting out of prison: Former Pennsylvania House Speaker John Perzel is set to be released from prison as soon as today. He'll be out on early parole after serving time for pleading guilty to public corruption charges. H. William DeWeese, another ex-House speaker convicted in a separate corruption scandal, is slated to be released next month.

3. Union deal: The City of Philadelphia has reached a tentative contract deal with its white-collar union. AFSCME District Council 47 members had been working without a contract since 2009.

4. Christie town hall: New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie laid out his budget plan Tuesday, and will take his proposal on the road this morning with a town hall in Morris County.

5. A.C. job fair: The Golden Nugget casino in Atlantic City is holding an "emergency" job fair starting today for positions that begin as early as this weekend.
