2. Luxury hotel: Mayor Michael Nutter is expected to announce today that Kimpton Hotels will open a luxury hotel at the Family Court building at 18th and Vine streets, a major development project for the Logan Square neighborhood.

3. Police escort: A terminally ill 3-year-old boy will receive a massive police escort from Philadelphia International Airport to his Springfield, Delaware County, home this afternoon. Brayden Chandler, who was diagnosed with a kidney tumor last year, will be returning from his Make-A-Wish vacation at Walt Disney World, and a Radnor police officer has organized a big escort home for the family.
