Villanova dropped from third to seventh in the latest Associated Press Top 25 men's basketball poll released today.

Since the last poll, the 22-4 Wildcats lost to Connecticut at the Wachovia Center last Monday and at Pitt on Sunday.

Temple (22-5) is 20th in the poll, up from 21st last week. The Owls last week won at St. Bonaventure and beat Saint Joseph's in overtime at the Palestra.

The top six are: Kansas, Kentucky, Purdue, Syracuse, Duke and Kansas State.

In more college hoops news, Philadelphia University coach Herb Magee will attempt to set the all-time record for college basketball victories on Tuesday night at home against Goldey Beacom. Magee has 902 victories, tied for first place with Bobby Knight. Tuesday's game tips off at 8 o'clock.
