Eagles' Connor Barwin announces benefit concert

Connor Barwin announces a concert featuring Kurt Vile and a bunch of Eagles

During his RedditAMA (ask me anything for the internet uninformed), Eagles linebacker Connor Barwin announced a concert to benefit his Make the World Better Foundation, dedicated to giving young people access to athletics and the arts.

The concert takes place on June 20 at Union Transfer, with Kurt Vile and the Violators, The Tontons and The Districts on the bill (Barwin's indie listening habits have been well-documented). Barwin also promised appearances by LeSean McCoy, DeMeco Ryans, Jason Kelce, Todd Herremans, Najee Goode, Bradley Fletcher, Mychal Kendricks, Trent Cole, Cary Williams, Brent Celek, Bennie Logan and more.

The concert will benefit Point Breeze's Ralph Brooks Park. "The renovation will include a new state-of-the-art basketball court, safe and well-lit play areas, an urban farm and a mural by renowned local artist Steve Powers," Barwin wrote.

Here's Barin working on the Ralph Brook Park last month:
