An estate in Villanova built by the prominent Clothier family recently got a new owner.

The nearly 9,000-square-foot home on Mount Moro Road sold this month for $1.675M – about $800,000 less than its asking price in 2010 when it first hit the market.

The Main Line home – once called Selkirk – was built in 1895 for Lydia Clothier and her husband. It was later converted into Faith Presbyterian Church in 1960s, but has since been restored to a personal residence.

The historic estate sits on more than three acres and has eight bedrooms and eight bathrooms. The backyard includes a pool, tennis court and garden.

Also noted in the listing are 13 fireplaces, high ceilings, and exceptional millwork.
