But a Queen Village home that the renowned architect both designed and lived in at one point has just hit the market for $959,000.

Baker bought the home in March 1982 and lived there for a decade, according to public records. It was last sold in June 2007 for $840,000.

The modern home on the 600 block of American Street – between South and Bainbridge streets – has about 2,500-square-feet of living space with five bedrooms and three bathrooms.

There's a three-story atrium with a huge skylight, which allows for a lot of natural light – a feature in a lot of Baker's designs. There's also exposed antique wood and metal beams, exposed brick, and wood floors throughout.

The master suite, located on the second floor, has a Juliet balcony, high wood ceilings, an open dressing room, and a marble bath.

Built-ins can be found throughout the home, including bookcases, planters, desks, cabinets, and a day bed on the third floor.

The home is accessed through a plant-filled, brick gated entrance, as described in the listing.

This is the second Queen Village home designed by Baker to hit the market in about a month. We previously wrote about another home he designed on the 300 block of Fitzwater Street.
