Although much of the late architect's work was demolished in the 20th century, some of Furness' surviving buildings include the Fisher Fine Arts Library at the University of Pennsylvania and the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts.

There are also many surviving mansions designed by the renowned architect across the region, and five are currently on the market.

One of the properties, the Brooke Mansion, Furness built for his friend, Edward Brooke II.

Ranging form $995,000 to more than $3.5 million, each home has its own story and uniqueness. Click through the slideshow to view the properties.
