Football: Camden Catholic's Alwan commits to Temple
Camden Catholic linebacker Jarred Alwan has committed to attend Temple University on a football scholarship.
The 6-2, 220-pound Alwan was a first-team All-South Jersey selection as a junior at Camden Catholic. He led the Irish to a 10-1 record and a berth in the Non-Public 2 title game.
An instinctive inside linebacker, Alwan made 86 tackles and had two INTs for Camden Catholic. As a running back, he carried 79 times for 645 yards (8.1-average) and 12 touchdowns. He also caught six passes for 179 yards (29.8-yard average).
Alwan is regarded as a three-star recruit by rivals.com
