Minor league baseball team to skewer NBC's Brian Williams

Minor League Baseball is a world where uniforms have become a medium for pop culture and internet memes to live on for one more glorious night. Countless must be the puzzled reactions of prospects being told what garments they are to wear on a particular night, from camo to seersucker to zombies.

But the Akron Rubberducks have moved into social commentary with their newest novelty uniforms.

NBC news correspondent Brian Williams has come under fire, ironically, for misremembering a story about literally being under fire (or not) while on a helicopter in Iraq. He has since taken a leave of absence from the network's news desk.

This is an issue about which whomever is in charge of the Rubberducks' uniforms feels strongly, it seems. Looks like 2015 will be the year that MiLB takes on the issues of the day, one jersey at a time.
