These guys are "unwatchable" right now! They're making every pitcher look like Sandy Koufax.

Take a seat Howard, Utley and Victorino.

Time to watch the Little League World Series.... we're almost 2 field goals behind!

Right now....the Phillies dont deserve to play in the post season and I would take Michael Bourn over 1/2 of the team.

It's true that Howard is going through a horrible stretch, 3 for his last 36 with about 15 K's, and it's also true that Chase finally came through today when it was needed after looking so feeble at the plate since his return. As bad as these two have been going, watching the selfishness of our two would-be home run hitters, Rollins and Victorino, and the lack of focus and intensity that Werth puts on display each and every night, has just made watching this team too much to bear. Those three couldn't leave here soon enough for my liking. We give up a true CF and lead-off guy, Michael Bourne, and keep a guy like Victorino who thinks that as long as he's enjoying himself and getting a few laughs, that's all that matters. Some of these guys act as though they are the best in baseball, with the way they swagger up to the plate, swing for the fences each time, and then cooly stut back into the dugout without a care in the world; for God's sakes, even the Yankees don't carry themselves this way.

the fact that Charlie did almost nothing to change the inevitable outcomes of this series, that he plays the same guys night after night after night (with Howard last night as the exception), and, as pathetic as Werth and Victorino and Rollins are, he can't find a way to get DBrown or Valdez some at-bats, just to maybe shake things up and send one of the "superstars" a message, tells you all you need to know about Charlie. He sits there and hopes things work out, but at no time will he direct that maybe a bunt is in order, maybe some small ball, maybe a different line-up that has your best clutch hitter (Ruiz) hitting somewhere other than 8th, and maybe your TWO WORST ON BASE PERCENTAGE GUYS not hitting at the top of the order as they do most nights. No, none of this works for Charlie...he's rather have it be said that his players really love to play for them. Of course they do, no one gets benched for anything!

you'd think that maybe Rollins and Victorino would see the way Bourn plays the game and gets his team started, and maybe some of it would rub off on them. No chance of that! Super-stardom only comes from hitting home runs. PLAYING SOME SMALL BALL AND THINKING OF THE TEAM FIRST IS SIMPLY NOT FOR THEM! And Charlie won't ask them to do it either.

The biggest shame is they have the best pitching staff set up, probably EVER, for the playoffs and cannot hit one over the candy machines at Williamsport

Bring back Ed Wade for Amaro. Phillies are pathetic right now. They played better when they had replacements. I feel sorry for Halladay, Hamels and Oswalt. Except for Ruiz, maybe Ibanez and Polanco, the rest of the offense, along with Kendrick and Blanton, are disgusting to watch. I can't stand to watch them play so sloppy. If this keeps up, forget about any playoffs this year. It's horrible when they can't beat a mediocre team. I want Myers, Happ and Bourne back. Ed Wade is smarter than Amaro and knew what he was getting. Get rid of Kendrick, Blanton and Amaro for starters.

Let's trade for more pitching. Eventually we can pitch shutouts every game and maybe win that way. Of course, we'd still have to score. Thankfully the Flyers begin Oct7 and the Birds Sep12. I AM...TOTALLY FRUSTRATED!!!

PATHETIC. somebody's head needs to roll, they responded to that when Milt got the axe. Must be a record for fewest runs scored per inning during this series. Put the old lineup back in and give this team some life.

Why can't Manuel yell and scream at his underperforming superstars and tell them they will be benched if they are not performing. He can't sit back and do nothing. The team respects him but he has to be more forceful in dealing with them when they go into long slumps. Utley, Howard and Rollins must be hurting if they can't swing a bat. Even a bunt now and then would help. Too many players are left stranded on the bases and they haven't been able to correct this. It's horrible to see that. Other teams are able to bring their players home, so why can't the Phillies? Charlie and the coaches have to do something about this.
