Deadspin buys National Baseball Hall of Fame vote

Deadspin recently came up with the idea of buying baseball Hall of Fame votes from voters. On Tuesday, their plan came to fruition.

The Baseball Writers' Association of America released its official ballot on Tuesday, and one of the members has sold their vote to Deadspin.

The idea came about, according to the site, in an attempt "to make a mockery and farce of the increasingly solemn and absurd election process, and to take some power from the duly appointed custodians of the game's history and turn it over to the public."

Now, it seems, they will get their chance.

The voter, who wishes to remain anonymous for obvious reasons, will fill out his/her ballot on behalf of the popular sports and pop culture web site.

More from Deadspin:

For now, though, we'd like to hear from you, the public: How should we proceed? What do you feel you need to cast an informed vote? What sort of voting system would best capture the will of the people? We have our own ideas, but we're curious what you think.
