Photos: The Gershman Y's 11th Annual LatkePalooza

The Gershman Y hosted their 11th annual LatkePalooza, at Vie Monday, Dec. 2, 2013.

Nearly 500 people came out to enjoy a buffet of latkes produced by an all-star cast of Philly chefs, including Michael McNally of London Grill, Marshall Green of Jerry's Bar, Derek Davis of Derek's and many more. The Jewish Exponent's Greg Salisbury, cookbook author Hope Cohen, KYW-TV's Jessica Dean, and KYW News Radio's Hadas Kuznits judged the latkes for their flavor, creativity and crispiness. Alex Boonphaya of Circles Thai Restaurant made the winning latkes.

This was the first time The Gershman Y held the event outside of its home turf located at the corner of Broad and Pine Streets. Executive Director Linda Steinberg said she was very happy with the new venue, and the high turnout of the event.
