Photos: Spring Awakening Party at Stratus Rooftop

Thursday night, April 30, the annual Spring Awakening party was held at Stratus Rooftop Lounge to kick off warmer months at Philly's highest party place.

The weather was fantastic, with a bit of chill in the air, but NBC Philadelphia's Sheena Parveen promises us warmer days a head.

Guests enjoyed music by a DJ alongside a band that included several drum solos to get the crowd on the dance floor.

Small plates of delicious bites from a summer menu were served, and refreshments were plentiful.

This year Stratus has scheduled an array of events to continue the party way into the fall season. On May 7, House Thursdays will kick off at Stratus with a roster of headlining regional DJs from Philadelphia, D.C., NYC, Miami and Boston spinning deep and funky house music. Stratus is also planning to have brunch on Sundays, where each week will be theme-based, with specialty drinks, music and occasionally a movie that goes with the theme. Beginning May 27, Stratus hosts Industry Wednesdays, a relaxed yet upbeat evening that begins at happy hour and lasts until midnight. DJ Montone will be the resident DJ for this event, ensuring a cool, fun vibe.

Stratus Rooftop Lounge is open Sundays 1 p.m. - 10 p.m., Mondays - Thursdays 5 p.m.-12 a.m., Fridays 5 p.m.-2 a.m. and Saturdays 7 p.m. - 2 a.m. I suggest you make reservations to guarantee a table, or get in line early as it also seems to be the place to be.
