One Step Away: On the board

One Step Away vendor Jerry Tucker is proud of his letter from the city's Office of Supportive Housing and the Philadelphia Continuum of Care announcing his acceptance to serve on the newly created Continuum of Care Board.

The Continuum of Care was designed to address homelessness in Philadelphia through a coordinated community-based process of identifying needs and building a system of housing and services to address those needs with an overall commitment to the goal of ending homelessness.

In order to understand the issues individuals experiencing homelessness face, the Continuum of Care asked for representatives from the homeless community. Jerry is one of three formerly homeless individuals, out of 60, chosen to serve on the Continuum of Care Board. We at One Step Away are proud of Jerry and believe Philadelphia is one step closer to ending homelessness.
