DeSean's new commercial; Vegas likes Birds
What does Vegas think of the Eagles? And do they have Michael Vick as a legit Super Bowl contender? Plus DeSean Jackson's new commercial.
Earlier today, I wrote about how many in the national media are on board with the idea that the Eagles are a serious contender in the NFC and Michael Vick is an MVP candidate.
As it turns out, Vegas is on board too.
An e-mail popped in my inbox this evening from Bodog.com. They have the Eagles listed as 4/1 to win the NFC. That puts them tied for second-best odds in the conference with the Giants and Falcons. The Packers, interestingly enough, are the favorites at 7/2.
As for the Super Bowl, the Jets, Ravens, Falcons, Packers, Patriots and Steelers are the favorites at 8/1.
The Eagles and Giants aren't far behind at 9/1.
Meanwhile, Vick's odds to be the league MVP have skyrocketed. Last week, he was at 25/1. This week, Vick is all the way up to 5/1, behind only Peyton Manning (4/1) and Tom Brady (9/2).
And finally, DeSean Jackson's got a new commercial out. No mention of hummus, but I still like it.
