Time for our weekly breakdown of the Eagles' penalties.

Through three weeks, the Birds are tied for 12th in penalties (19) and 20th in penalty yards (141).

Against the Chiefs, they had just three penalties for 20 yards, a huge improvement from the previous week against the Saints.

The bad news? Two of those penalties came on special teams.

Three offensive linemen -- Winston Justice, Max Jean-Gilles, and Jamaal Jackson are penalty-free through three weeks. That's particularly impressive for Justice, who is in his first season as a starter at the right tackle position.

The Eagles' offense went penalty-free against the Chiefs.

Here's a look at where the flags have been thrown through three games:

    Our Special Team unit really needs to get in gear and play smarter. Hold onto the ball, block better, and make sure they put our offense in the best position possible!

    Justice has been playing pretty well. I re-watched the tapes and he doesn't miss a blocking assignment. He still gets beat with occassional speed rush to the outside, but those usually happen on quick pass plays. He sometimes whiffs on LB's on running plays. He shows good strength once he locks up with a DL on longer developing pass plays. The interior OLine could do a better job of getting a push and creating more space for the RB's. Pass blocking has been outstanding.

    I've never seen one guy get vilified for 1 game - as Justice was against the Giants. Going up against one of the top pass rushers in the game - that was more about the insane lack of adjustments by Andy... I mean, who doesn't put a TE or a RB to help??? I always thought he needed another chance, and he looks better suited for RT.

    When are the Eagles going to practice how to block on kick-off and punts. More good punt and kick returns get brought back because of illegal blocks over the last few years, that you think there would some attention paid to it.

    Best thing about Justice is that you don't hear his name called during the games. That's a good thing for an offensive lineman. Usually the only attention an offensive lineman gets during a broadcast is when he gets a penalty, gives up a sack or misses a block.

    Justice is off to a good start, glad to see he made the most of his second chance. This guy took a beating in the press after just one game. I think the same should be said for Kevin Kolb. Nice to see we have some depth.

    Let's erase our memories of "that game" for Justice. He's doing well now. Keep up the good work.

    Justice seems far from being the star he looked like he might be in college, but he's doing the job of a backup, keeping the errors down and working hard. They still have a chance to win with him in there, and that's what a backup can do. And he still looks like he has starter potential.
