The latest Spagnuolo buzz

Another day, another team mentioned as a suitor for Steve Spagnuolo.

This time, it's the Indianapolis Colts. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Spagnuolo interviewed with Indy on Monday for their defensive coordinator opening.

The timing of that interview is intriguing because today, the Colts announced they are parting ways with Jim Caldwell. So they are not only looking for a defensive coordinator, but also a head coach. Ryan Grigson left his post as the Eagles director of player personnel to become the Colts' general manager last week.

Schefter also reports that Spagnuolo will interview with the Saints on Wednesday. Gregg Williams is reportedly leaving his post with New Orleans to join Jeff Fisher in St. Louis.

Meanwhile, we can cross Atlanta off as a potential landing spot for Spagnuolo. The Falcons have hired Mike Nolan to run their defense. Atlanta reportedly had Spagnuolo and Nolan high on their list.

And finally, Marty Mornhinweg will interview for the Raiders head-coaching vacancy, according to Jason La Canfora of NFL Network.

So that's where things stand as of this writing. If you missed it earlier, I posted a player-by-player evaluation of the Eagles' rookie class.
