Eagles reportedly work out two CBs

The Eagles have worked out cornerbacks Jamar Love and Chris Roberson, according to Adam Caplan of scout.com.

The Birds currently have five cornerbacks on their roster: Asante Samuel, Sheldon Brown, Macho Harris, Dimitri Patterson and Geoffrey Pope.

Samuel and Brown are banged-up, but both guys played Sunday against the Redskins. Harris is being used as a corner after starting the season at safety. And Pope did not dress after being signed off the Bengals' practice squad last week.

Joselio Hanson has one more game to serve on his suspension before returning to the lineup.

Earlier Tuesday, the Eagles released cornerback Ramzee Robinson to add wide receiver Jordan Norwood from the practice squad.

Love spent the summer with the Patriots as an undrafted free agent out of Arkansas. He joined the Cowboys' practice squad in early November before being dropped earlier this week. He's listed at 6 feet, 191 pounds and turned 23 earlier this month.

Roberson was a seventh-round pick by the Jaguars in 2005, out of Eastern Michigan. He saw action in six games as a rookie, but has played in just one game since (with the Detroit Lions last season). Roberson (5-foot-11, 190 pounds) is 26.

Meanwhile, multiple outlets are reporting that former Eagles cornerback Jack Ikegwuonu met with the Cincinnati Bengals Tuesday. The Eagles selected Ikegwuonu in the fourth round of the 2008 draft, but released him last week to make room for Pope.
