Links: Eagles predictions, rankings

Some quick links to pass along on this Wednesday night:

** Six out of 16 ESPN experts pick the Eagles to win the NFC East. Seven like the Giants. And three go with the Cowboys. Of the experts who don't have the Birds winning the division, nine give them a wild-card spot. So 15 of 16 experts have the Eagles in the postseason. Interestingly enough, five have the Birds in the Super Bowl, but none predict them to win it. Andy Reid got two votes for Coach of the Year, while LeSean McCoy and Jeremy Maclin each got a vote for Offensive Rookie of the Year.

** I don't get Showtime, but the network sent out a press release today, saying that Scott Graham was going to be introduced during tonight's show as the new voice of Inside the NFL. He'll replace the great Harry the K, and the show planned on paying tribute to Kalas during tonight's program. If anyone saw it, let us know how it was.

** Since someone said I was L.J. Smith's No. 1 stalker in a previous post, I'll do my best to live up to the reputation. It looks like he could miss Week 1 against the Chiefs.

"We've got to test it out and see if it's ready," Smith told The Baltimore Sun. "It's 16 games, and the coaches definitely want to make sure that I'm available."

** The National Football Post has the Eagles sixth in its power rankings:

Donovan McNabb will have plenty of playmakers to work with—including Michael Vick—but the health of RB Brain Westbrook will make or break the Eagles' season.

** SI.com's Don Banks has the Eagles eighth in his power rankings:

There's so much we still don't know about this Eagles team, and it should make for an intriguing season. What will be the real impact on the offense of the Michael Vick signing? How will the Donovan McNabb-Vick dynamic play out? Is the retooled offensive line ready? What does Brian Westbrook have left after two offseason surgeries and no playing time in the preseason? And can new defensive coordinator Sean McDermott fill the very large void left by the death of Jim Johnson? Things are never boring in Philly, are they?

** FoxSports.com has the Eagles fourth in its power rankings.
