Michelle Obama's Tracy Reese dress was out of sight

New York designer, Tracy Reese, knocked it out of the box when she designed this special occasion dress for Michelle Obama's killer speech at the Democratic National Convention. The dress, a spokeswoman for the company says, is a tweaked version of several Tracy Reese styles from previous seasons.

The dress - which is probably about $300 to $500- isn't available to the general public now. But that could change soon.  The spokeswoman didn't know if the dress was made especially for this event, but we are guessing it was. The jacquard red flowing into a periwinkle blue hem is a dead giveaway. This just in: shoes were by J.Crew.

Great choice. Although we do wish this dress was made in America.

For more on this dress and Ann Romney's dress, see the Philadelphia Inquirer's magazine section tomorrow, were will will look at the symbolism.
