Setting the record straight

Somehow I managed to misspell the name of the woman -- Emily Giffin -- who wrote the book "Something Borrowed," the basis for the new comedy. Even though the studio sent me the book and I flipped through it about fifty times. And it's 12 inches from my keyboard.

Also, cinematographer Marc Jeff Schirmer, who did the fine lensing for "Lebanon, Pa." wrote to clarify that "Lebanon" was not his first feature credit. He's also been the cinematographer for three other features -- "Neighbor" (2009), "2 Minutes Later" (2007) and "Dirty Laundry" (2003).

Now it's my turn to complain. Went for a nice Saturday morning bike ride on the MLK, and turned from the bridge to head outbound into a stiff breeze. About a mile up the road, I noticed there was a guy behind me, drafting, and he stayed there all the way to the Fall's Bridge.

A couple things. 1. I had a burrito for breakfast, so draft at your own risk. 2. What is the point? What are you saving your energy for? Your triumphant sprint into Paris ahead of Laurent Fignon to take the yellow jersey and the Tour De France so you can dance on the Champs Elysees? Aren't you there to burn calories?

Also, I noticed the guy had about a $2,000 bike, and I'm riding a disco-era Schwinn World Traveller that weighs more than my Toyota. I also have cyclo-cross tires and kickstand.
