The O.J. Trial Before O.J.

That's how Hoop Dreams director Steve James referred to the 1993 brouhaha in Hampton, Virginia over the trial of future-Sixer then two-sport Bethel High School sensation Allen Iverson that grew out of a chair-throwing racially-charged Valentine's Day bowling alley brawl. It's the focus of James' documentary No Crossover: The Trial Of Allen Iverson, which was shown this past weekend at the Philadelphia Film Festival Spring Preview and premieres tonight at 8 on ESPN.
