1) Johnson & Johnson - drugmaker and medical-device developer in Princeton, N.J. and suburban Philadelphia
2) JPMorgan Chase & Co. - its credit card business is based in Wilmington, Del.
3) PNC Financial Services Group - with offices across Philadelphia and its suburbs
4) Penn Medicine - Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and affiliates; top private employer in Phila. city
5) Bayada Home Health Care - all over the region

Philadelphia companies listed more than 109,000 open positions, up 2.16% since August (slower growth than New York, Boston or Chicago; faster than Houston, Atlanta, Washington DC or Los Angeles).
