Orbitz boss takes job at Rubin's Fanatics

Chris Orton's new gig

Fanatics Inc., the Jacksonville, Fla.-based licensed online and video pro and college sports merchandising business owned by GSI Commerce founder Michael Rubin's West Conshohocken-based, Alibaba-backed holding company, Kynetics, says it has named Orbitz Worldwide President Chris Orton as Fanatics' new Chief Marketing and Revenue Officer, reporting to CEO Doug Mack.

Orton was previously head of internet marketing at eBay, which bought GSI from Rubin and shareholders for $2.4 billion in 2011, and still operates it as a division of eBay, though with reduced staff.
