Run for the roses
STATE COLLEGE, Pa. -- It's safe to say that if Penn State was told before the season that it would enter its final game with Michigan State a win from clinching the Big Ten title and a spot in the Rose Bowl, the Nittany Lions, to a man, would have loved that scenario. That's exactly where Penn State stands after it handled terrible Indiana, 34-7, yesterday.
Also, it appears Lions coach Joe Paterno will undergo hip replacement surgery the day after the Michigan State game.
