Practice update on Penn State's Morris, Belton

Morris, who injured his ankle in Saturday's loss to Ohio, was listed as "day-to-day" in preparation for the Nittany Lions' game against Virginia this weekend. Coach Bill O'Brien said his status would depend on how he practiced throughout the week. O'Brien said the same would go for running back Bill Belton. Belton was not present on the practice field during the 15 minutes the media was allowed to watch.

Senior cornerback Stephon Morris sat alongside his teammates on the practice field on Wednesday afternoon, sporting a navy jersey and tall white ankle socks. He stretched, he squinted in the hot midday sun, and he smiled as the team got up and dispersed for drills.

It appeared he was OK.

In the season-opener, Day carried the ball eight times for 36 yards.
