Penn State's Robinson named to Biletnikoff Award watch list

Penn State junior Allen Robinson, named the Big Ten's receiver of the year last season, has been named to the watch list for the Biletnikoff Award given to the nation's outstanding receiver.

Announcements of college football awards watch lists continued Tuesday with word that Penn State junior Allen Robinson, the 2012 Big Ten receiver of the year, has been named to the watch list for the Biletnikoff Award.

The award, sponsored by the Tallahassee Quarterback Club, honors the top receiver in college football.

Robinson broke the Nittany Lions' school record for receptions with 77 last season and his 1,013 yards receiving marked the third of 1,000 yards or more in Penn State history. He led the Big Ten in receptions (total and per game), receiving yards (total and per game) and touchdown catches (11).

Robinson is the seventh Penn State player to be mentioned on a watch list this pre-season.

A former Cardinal O'Hara star, Ohio State wide receiver Corey Brown, also was mentioned on the Biletnikoff Award watch list.
