Penn State women's basketball player Maggie Lucas an honorable mention preseason All-American

Lucas was named an AP preseason All-American honroable mention. The guard was a first team Big Ten selection last year after finishing third in the Big Ten and 20th in Division I in scoring with 19.5 points per game. Her 624 points as a sophomore rank fifth most in school history.

Maggie Lucas, the former Germantown Academy star, is one of the best 3-point shooters in the history of Penn State women's basketball.

As she enters her junior season, she's getting recognized as one of the best overall players in the country.

The Narbeth native was an AP honorable mention All-American last season.

The Lady Lions open the season on Sat. with an exhibition game against California (Pa.). The regular season-opener is on Nov. 11.
