Halleluiah, Evans and Koroma to play

As Illinois coach Ron Zook predicted, Penn State defensive linemen Maurice Evans and Abe Koroma will play Saturday when the Illini and Lions meet.

Joe Paterno announced tonight on his weekly call-in radio show that the previously-suspended Cheech and Chong will dress and hit the field sometime Saturday evening. The juniors, both starters, were suspended for the last three games after police found less than two grams of marijuana at their on-campus apartment on Sept. 2.

They were each charged with a misdemeanor last Wednesday and the case was handed over to the university's Office of Judicial Affairs on Monday. "Judicial affairs people have indicated that there isn't anything that they're going to do to say they can't play," Paterno said.

Thank you, sweet Jesus. Now can we please have a blotter-free rest of the season?
