2009 World Championships Trials at the USRowing Center on Mercer Lake in West Windsor, N.J.
I was at the 2009 World Championships Trials at the Finn M.W. Caspersen USRowing Center on Mercer Lake in West Windsor, N.J. to photograph a local rower for a story running next Sunday.
The selected crews earned the right to represent the United States at the 2009 World Rowing Championships August 23-30 in Poznan, Poland. Most of the winners rowed in the 2008 Beijing Olympics, and many took home medals.
But there were no bleachers, no throngs of autograph-seeking fans. Just world class athletes going out on the water, performing at their peak, and then rowing back to the boathouse.
