Bill Iezzi: Seneca's Hoops' Hopes High

After defeating fourth-seeded Timber Creek, 54-48, last night qaway, senior forward Chelsea Grover and her teammates are optimistic about playing in tomorrow's SJ Group 3 semifinal at No. 1 Point Pleasant Boro.

And why not? Grover led all scorers with 29 points and when she was playing away from the basket sophomore guard Brittany Snow was scoring inside.

Add to that the tight defense of senior guard Ashleigh Ferrell and the Eagles have a chance for an upset.

Ferrell held Creek's high-scoring junior, Jasmine Martin, to 11 points. Martin had been averaging 22.2 a game.
