RV's Bersch Out For The Season

Rancocas Valley's Mike Bersch, one of the top basketball players in South Jersey, is out for the season with a broken hand.

Coach Jay Flanagan said he suffered it in Saturday's 67-47 win over Living Faith Christian.

The 6-foot-6 Bersch, who is headed to American University, averaged 14.3 points in 18 games. He missed five games earlier this season with a separated shoulder.

Rancocas Valley (20-4) is the defending state Group 4 champion, but without Bersch, it will make it difficult to repeat.
