There's a new Web site offering one-stop shopping for Pennsylvania and Jersey blogs. Blognet News is a little heavy on the politics, but casts its net wider than most, which is why I now know that Pittsburgh's reputed crime boss sleeps with the fishes.
A new blog seeks to show that life in the Main Life isn't all coupon-clipping and drinks at the cricket club. A Main Line Girl's Guide to Life starts off with a ribaldly titled "It Should be Called Ho-lloween ... Seriously" post about all little tarts who kept her from getting a drink on Halloween night. This could be fun.
Phawker isn't new - it's a few weeks old. But for the first time I can get it to show up on my standard-issue Internet Explorer browser - they must have finally paid the code monkeys. And yesterday's issue was filled with readable stuff, like a Wall Street Journal letter smacking down that awful article that recycled Digby Baltzell on Boston v Philadelphia and suggested the essayist didn't have eyes, ears or a map.

Finally, and a little overdue, we mention a new blog from Inquirer film critic Steven Rea. Because he has so much time on his hands. I promote this because the one talent Steven does not have is for self promotion. He's calling it On Movies. It's filled with insider details and outsider opinion.
