My, how time flies.

Former City Councilman Rick Mariano is preparing to leave his prison digs and shed his prison garb as he heads next Monday to a halfway house near Juniata Park. After that, he will spend some time in home confinement.

This news comes courtesy of Mariano himself, in an email to "friends and family."

The councilman has been serving six years for corruption in a minimum-security federal prison in Lewisburg, Pa..
