Joe Grace to Chamber of Commerce

The Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce today announced that Joe Grace will become its new director of public policy, making him the chamber's chief lobbyist working with City Council and the Nutter administration.

Grace has had a varied career including stints as a Daily News journalist, the communications director for Mayor John F. Street and the executive director for CeaseFirePA, the gun violence prevention group.

Grace, who holds a law degree from Temple, also ran unsuccessfully in 2011 for City Council in the First District, a race won by Mark Squilla.

"We are thrilled to have such an experienced professional join our team and assist in our efforts to promote free enterprise and economic growth," said Rob Wonderling, the chamber's president and CEO.

"I'm honored to join the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce," Grace said. "Having worked in journalism, government and the non-profit sector, I believe I can bring those experiences and perspectives to work as the Chamber's representative on city issues."
