Grounds tickets sold out for last three Open days at Merion

Grounds tickets for Friday, Saturday and Sunday rounds at the 2013 U.S. Open at Merion Golf Club are sold out, and limited tickets remain.

The United States Golf Association says that grounds tickets for the Friday, Saturday and Sunday rounds for the 2013 U.S. Open at Merion Golf Club are sold out.

The Open will take place from June 13 to 16 at the famed East course in Ardmore.

The USGA said grounds tickets remain available for Thursday's opening round at $110 each. There are tickets available for Saturday and Sunday at the "1895 Club ticket" level, which range up to $385 apiece.

There is a four-ticket limit per day on purchases. All tickets include complimentary parking and shuttle transportation to and from the entrance for the championship.

Junior tickets are available at Merion, either at will call or at the admission gates. Juniors ages 12 and younger will be admitted free when accompanied by an adult ticket holder, with a limit of two per ticket holder.

Tickets for juniors ages 13 to 17 can be purchased for $15 for practice rounds and $35 for the four rounds of the championship.

The Open is returning to Merion for the first time since 1981. The 2012 Open at the Olympic Club in San Francisco marks the 26th consecutive year that the Open has sold out.
