Inquirer Staff Writer Sam Wood reports:
Philanthropist Kal Rudman will be honored by Police Commissioner Charles H. Ramsey today for funding a scholarship program for police officers.
The Kal and Lucille Rudman Foundation has made it possible for more than 260 city officers to take continuing education courses at the Community College of Philadelphia.
During the ceremony, Rudman plans to present Commissioner Ramsey with a check to cover tuition and fees for another 25 officers in the college’s justice curriculum.
Rudman, a local radio legend and the self-styled “Round Mound of Sound,” is the founder and publisher of several music industry publications, including the Friday Morning Quarterback.
