Saturday's game time changed

With Game 1 of the Phillies' NLCS clash against San Francisco clogging up the sports complex on Saturday night, the Flyers opted to move their Saturday night contest against visiting Pittsburgh up one hour.

Saturday's game will start at 6 o'clock instead of the usual 7 o'clock.

The Flyers would have liked to move the game to the afternoon, but Pittsburgh's home game on Friday night prevented the swap.

The NHL's Collective Bargaining Agreement says that an afternoon game cannot follow a night game from a previous day. As such, the earliest the game could have started was 5 o'clock.

Saturday will be the Flyers' second of three games against Pittsburgh in the month of October.
