The Flyers have re-assigned defenseman Danny Syvret to the Adirondack Phantoms on the Thanksgiving Holiday, a source has told the Daily News.
Syvret, 24, is playing on a non-entry level two-way contract. That means that as of 12 o’clock noon on Thursday, Syvret is open to claims by all 30 teams on the waiver wire because he has played in more than 10 regular season games and been on the roster for more than 30 days.
Syvret skated in 13 games with the Flyers this season, posting two assists in a fifth or sixth defenseman role. He is a savvy skater who is not afraid to join the offensive rush and he has also been defensively responsible.
Since call-up Oskars Bartulis skated on Nov. 12 against Ottawa, with injuries to Ole-Kristian Tollefsen and Ryan Parent, Syvret has been a healthy scratch for the past seven games.
