'Bruin' up some numbers

As the Bruins skate into South Philadelphia tonight after dropping a 1-0 decision to the New York Rangers on Saturday night in Beantown, here are a few numbers from Saturday's Flyers win on Long Island:

145 - Career games it took for James van Riemsdyk to net his first career hat trick.

2 - Times the Flyers have turned the 'trick on Rick DiPietro. Scott Hartnell did it on Jan. 19, 2008 in a 5-3 win.

186 - Number of hat tricks in Flyers history.

100 - Flyers' point total through 74 games, their fastest run to 100 points since 1985-86. It is the first time the Flyers have posted more than 100 points since netting 101 points in 2005-06.

18 - Number of 100 point seasons in franchise history, tied for the most in the NHL with tonight's opponent, Boston. The Bruins (92 points) can hit 100 for the 19th time this season.

200 - Games played for Claude Giroux.

23 - More points this year for Giroux than his previous career-high of 47, set last season.

8 - Number of Flyers to have hit the 70 point plateau in a season since 2005-06.

23-11-6 - Flyers' record when being outshot by opponents.

24 - Road wins for the Flyers this season, tying them with Vancouver for the best road record in the NHL. It also ties a franchise record held by the 2003-04 Flyers team, the last one to win the Atlantic division.

4 - Road games left for the Flyers.

Finally:

4 - Possible lead for the Flyers in the Eastern Conference with a win tonight against Boston, with one game still in-hand over second place Washington.
