Try out Girard, that 'no-tip' restaurant

Girard Brasserie & Bruncherie, the forthcoming Fishtown BYOB with a no-tipping policy (details here), is planning three Sunday night piri piri chicken pop-up dinners at Honest Tom’s Taco Shop (261 S. 44th St.) on Aug. 10, 17 and 24 from 5 to 9 p.m.

For $20 per person (including tax and gratuity), each guest will get a half of a grilled chicken topped with chef Brian Oliveria’s spicy piri piri sauce along with garlicky roasted potatoes, steamed rice and kale salad.

His Portuguese grandmother taught him how to make it.

Girard Brasserie & Bruncherie is on track to open in late September at 300 E. Girard Ave.
