The 'Philly Taco,' served as pizza steak nachos

Tuk Tuk Real (429 South St.) will use Cinco de Mayo to introduce pizza steak nachos - its Mexican riff on that South Street creation called the Philly Taco (a Jim's cheesesteak wrapped inside a slice of Lorenzo's pizza).

Pizza steak nachos include layers of homemade tortilla chips smothered in provolone and sharp cheddar, jalapenos, cilantro, oregano, onion, seared skirt steak and house made tomato sauce. On Tuesday, May 5 from 5 to 10 p.m., the nachos will be specially priced at $5 per order (regular price will be $9).

Chefs Alex Boonphaya and Rincón Tellez will also offer all of their appetizers for $5 on Cinco de Mayo: Moo Ping Pao Buns with Pork Belly and Kimchi; Lamb Massaman Nachos; Pork Sope served on a Lemongrass Mexican Flatbread; Seafood or Snapper Ceviche; Buffalo Wings with Lemongrass Mole; Corn Soup with Seared Tofu; Tortilla Soup with Thai Spiced Chicken; Grilled Corn with Queso, Mexican Spiced Mayo, and Paprika; and Queso Fundido with Sautéed Chorizo, Mixed Mexican Cheeses, Tortillas, and Pickled Jalapenos on the side.
