Summer BBQ at Petruce et al.

Chefs Justin Petruce and Steven Eckerd will host a summer pig feast on Sunday, Aug. 16, featuring a wood-oven-roasted Heritage pig from Gettysburg's Rettland Farm and local vegetables supplied by the Fields Edge Research Farm in Lancaster.

Every guest will also receive a can of the chefs' favorite beer. Food will be served buffet, family style from the restaurant's open kitchen.

To match the unusually casual cuisine, the typically service-oriented restaurant will be reconfigured with large communal tables, while DJ Tim Kweeder plays summer rock tunes.

The feast is available from 6 p.m. until its gone. First come, first served, $45 per person.
