Below, some locally available food deals for this year's Tax Day:
Boston Market: The chain chicken specialists are offering a half-chicken meal with two sides, cornbread, a drink, and a cookie for $10.40.
Buca di Beppo: Big portions and big breaks from this Italian chain, with the restaurant making available an 18 percent off coupon good through April 18.
California Tortilla: This Maryland-based chain likes to keep things clandestine. Use the password "Tax Man" for free chips and queso dip with any purchase.
Chili's: If eating the worry away doesn't work, only then resort to drinking. Chili's is providing a frugal way to do so with $5 Presidente margaritas.
Great American Cookie: For those with a sweet tooth, the cookie maker is offering a free chocolate chip cookie on Tax Day. No purchase needed.
Hard Rock Café: Step up on the cafe stage and belt out a track for the room, and you can earn a free Legendary hamburger.
Outback Steakhouse: Tax Day Down Under is October 31, but the chain is helping us out Monday anyway with a coupon good for 15 percent off your bill.
Perkins: For members of Perkins' email list, a special tax day deal with a coupon for a buy one, get one entree deal.
Sonic: Cruise through this burger chain on Tax Day for half-price single patty burgers. Get there for happy hour at 8 p.m. and enjoy half-off shakes, too.
Tiffin: In honor of Tax Day, Tiffin will do away with taxes altogether. No tax on all orders at all locations through closing on Monday.
Zio Gio: Step up for a free six-inch sample of the new Chick Chick Parm sandwich between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. Ordinarily, that size and style goes for $5.59.
